 Part of the fun of a Walt Disney World® Resort vacation is the exquisite shopping that can be found there. Treasures that are exclusive and can only be found at Walt Disney World ® Resort are definitely worth the hunt! I'm not talking about coffee mugs, photo albums, or t-shirts. I'm talking about beautifully and artfully designed authentic handcrafts from Epcot's World Showcase or some of the specialty stores in Downtown Disney® and the four theme parks.
The problem arises for me when I've exceeded the limits of my suitcase to transport my treasures back home! For this, I've discovered that Disney offers a few options. Disney not only is the pioneer of moving people through the parks, but also for moving packages!
First of all, when you are a resort guest at Walt Disney World® Resort, you can ask the cast member at the checkout of any store in the theme parks or Downtown Disney® to have your packages sent directly to your resort. This service is complimentary and is a huge plus to being a resort guest. You'll never have an extra bag to carry! These packages will be delivered by the following day. You may also request that your items, especially if fragile, be packaged and sent directly to your home for a nominal fee. What a delightful surprise when you arrive home and your Disney packages are waiting for you! UPS and FedEx services are also available at most resorts' guest services desk.
Last but not least, if your airline is not charging for a second bag, bring an empty suitcase along with you for all those goodies that are not easily breakable. It will be really light on your arrival, but remember the 50 pound airline limit on the way home!
